A1 - Feedback from the grader

Hello class,

Most of you did a fantastic job on the first assignment! I hope you all are excited going forward now that you understand more about what this class is about. The most common issue was forgetting to include information on the video you watched in class. Some of you also did not break down each assignment and explain why you thought the order was important. I can only assign points to items you have addressed, and if you leave them out, it is an easy way to lose points. I also provided individual feedback to all of you, and I hope you take the time to understand what you may have done wrong. You can access this feedback by pressing the view rubric button. This is very important in the beginning of the year so that you can adjust your submissions accordingly. I have added my email to the bbLearn page if you have any comments or questions.

A few of you have still not submitted your project to bbLearn, and therefore have not earned a grade.

Just a reminder about resubmissions and grade changes (from the syllabus):
  • In recognition of the possibility of grading error on our part we are always willing to discuss a grade. However we're much more likely to change a grade if the discussion occurs soon after the grade is received. Our policy is never to lower a grade, only to improve it in recognition of errors we made.
  • For projects before the last one we will normally allow a resubmission within one week of the time the project grades are returned. You may receive up to 2/3 of the lost "normal" points.
    • We will not accept resubmissions after the end of classes.
    • We do not accept revisions of Teamwork Evaluations, nor may they be submitted late.
Stats on this assignment:
Average: 95.24
Median: 98
StdDev: 7.38

Advice for next assignment:
Many student submit the Revit assignment in forms of screenshots and/or Revit files. The rubric clearly defines that PDFs in sheet form must be created. You will have to do this if you want full credit. There are tutorials of how to print sheets to PDFs  available online such as this one (link).
